Ukraine: 4 mil ha of spring barley have been sown

Ukrainian agrarians have sown spring barley at 3,995.000 ha (98% total planned), reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy press-service, according to Agro Perspectiva, April 11.

As to report, this year agrarians are going to sow spring barley at total 4.1 mn ha. Reportedly, as of April 6, agrarians have sown spring grains/leguminous at 5,197.000 ha ( 66% total planned).

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, as of Mar 30, spring barley was sown at 3,272.000 ha. As to State Statistic Committee, 2006 barley crop totaled 11,341.200 MT; barley was harvested at 5,236.200 ha.
